Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

Well, it’s been a couch weekend over here in the Buddha household.  With rain turning to snow outside and the plethora of delivery drivers just ready to bring us food, there seemed to be no good reason to leave the house.  The rose-colored glasses with which Orange saw yesterday’s snow unclouded really fast as we trudged home from our taco and beer run in a few inches of slush.

Naive southerner, but I love her anyway.

We’ve been keeping warm with Bailey’s and Kailua in our coffee and it’s working splendidly.

Lots of internet things for your enjoyment if you, too, find yourself unwilling or unable to leave the house.  May you make the best of it.

God bless nurses. We need more, and the future of our healthcare depends on it.

Related:  It’s something which my dad foretold when he retired in 2001.  The changing culture of healthcare, an interesting read.

Paternity leave is as important as maternity leave.  Let’s get on board, U.S.A.!

Making the best of a long distance relationship.  How creative!

No, you’re so vain. Turns out Warren Beatty is the vainest of us all.

As the refugee crisis continues throughout the world, it’s important to remember how many among us (or our ancestors) were once refugees, too.

Where are they now post-Hogwarts?  All over Game of Thrones, it seems.

Alligator vs. python: my worst nightmare, the train wreck from which I can’t look away.

The science of chocolate chip cookies.  The best experiment ever.

And finally, a gentle reminder to be kind.

Have a good week!
