Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

Excuse me for a second while I wish myself back to the location of this picture.  Can you blame me?

This weekend has been me getting back into the swing of real life and out of vacation mode. I’m doing pretty well about it.  I can proudly say that all the laundry is done, as is the grocery shopping, and my house is respectably tidy.  However, thanks to a bad/great workout at the gym yesterday, walking today is…a challenge.  And I still have to do my taxes.

I hope your Sunday is filled with effortless strides and no taxes.  And, no politics.

Here are just a few somethings to distract us all from the horribleness that is this election season. Please, make it stop!

Why my girlfriends are the loves of my life.

The luckiest dog in the world gets around more than I do.

I’m such a sucker for awesome pictures

About getting through:  farewell, Downton.

Following up on last week, #singlepersonlifetax.  Or, more accurately, #singlewomanlifetax.

Were you also crap at standardized tests?  A beautiful letter from an inspiring teacher.

You don’t get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate.  This genius gets a cake.

Seeing joy through so much sadness.  Heart-crushing.

Science, ya’ll. Jurassic Park a-comin?

And finally, while people can be the worst, they can also be the best.

Have a good week!

Written over some delicious coffee.

  1. Ugh, don’t EVEN get me started on the single person life tax. I was thinking about it last week; trying to be an upstanding citizen without getting bogged down with how much everything costs on 1 paycheque is so hard.
