Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday. Hello long weekend.

How cool is this picture? These baby birds are recently hatched, hiding in Rutabaga’s bushes.  He snapped this with his phone and I have done nothing to edit it.  Nature is the best, yah?  (Also note that he did not touch these birds or the nest in the taking of this picture, rest assured)

Also, it’s been one year of Sunday Somethings! I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have.

Weekending has been properly done on my end.  House is clean, shopping is done, and margaritas were had last night.  Success!

I hope that friends, family and good food are keeping you occupied during these long spring/summer days and that the thought of work has not crossed your mind once.  Well, at least no more than once.

The Somethings look the internet by storm (or, by light rain). Here’s the gist;

I just soak up everything related to those Royals, so I’m passing that on to you. The goss on why The Little Princess was delegated to purse holder.

These cooking tips: good ones all!

Raising a bully– this parent’s worst nightmare and her solution. Parents take note.

Still loving David Schwimmer.

And this is why I’m not a fan of modern art.

I already told you how much I loved Sketch for tea, but now someone please take me back again, to fairy land.

Down with checking work emails on the weekend! So say the French. So say I.

Zika and Congress. Will action be taken?

In support of the ‘gap year.’  I wish I could take a gap year now, and I’m thankful to have been raised in an environment where travel was not seen as a waste of time. Thanks for that, Mom.

Tale as old as time. I can. not. wait.

That’s all I’ve got. Time to grill.

Have a good week!

Written over toast and jam and strawberries.

  • A friend of mine co-owns a gap year company in Toronto; looking back, it would have been an amazing experience. Or a study abroad semester. Everything seems so daunting and hard from 18-22. So many smarter decisions that could have been made.
