Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

Well, as you can see from this lovely mural I snapped on my way home from the gym yesterday, pigs are flying, and the Cubs are in the World Series for the first time in 71 years! I’ve never counted myself among the throngs of baseball fans but I certainly can’t help but be so, so excited about the hometown team.  Tomato lives 2 blocks from Wrigley, so I’m sure she won’t mind us all crashing there for the next few weeks.  GO CUBS GO!!!

(Also, Let’s Go Buffalo!, who are playing the Dolphins today…)

Honestly, the excitement of the playoffs has been all us city folk have been able to talk about or focus on this week and a welcome distraction from all the political unpleasantness. I hope you’ve been able to find something to help you along with that as well. We’re almost there, folks. Home stretch!

The internet!  Thanks to Yam for helping me along with these this week…

Remember: refugees. They’re just like us.

#TrumpBookReport:  Sorry, to funny to not share.

More green space = lower mortality.  I don’t need to see it to believe that, as I live in this concrete jungle.

Seeing those often overlooked, Bitty & Beau are setting an example we should follow.

Mary Poppins is one of my favorite movies of all times, so the idea that they were going to reboot it make me less than enthused. Emily Blunt’s casting helped ease my fear, and now, Colin Firth!

Curing the technology addiction: One man is trying to figure out how to help us all.

I love Canada, and it makes me sad that they feel so sorry for us that they need to #TellAmericaItsGreat.  Still, I love you Canada!

9021-old.  The sad part is that Will Hunting and Zack Morris are almost there, too.

Weekly animal video:  Elephant saves man he thinks is drowning.  Love.

And finally, if we’re not kind to ourselves, who else will be?  A good reminder from a horrible person.

Have a great week!
