Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday!

Gosh, I feel like the rest of this year is flying by like the speed of light. We’re almost at Thanksgiving and then before we know it, it’ll be NYE.  Time, time, time…see what’s become of me.

On that note, I went to a Christmas event on Tuesday and it was too soon.  Let’s get through Thanksgiving. And when I say “get through it,” I mean, celebrate it. Why would we skip over a day whose sole purpose is gluttony? Oh, and thanksgiving, but…also food.

I’m coming off a week that was busy from morning until night, and looking at another just the same.  While I’m not one to wish time away, I’m very excited about laying around a lot, very soon, with nothing to do but snuggle with Crawley.  He is a snuggly squidge.

Those are my only thoughts right now. Here are just a few articles that filled them this week.

Humblebrag about my alma mater.  ND wins 11th straight title for graduation rates.  As someone who was very involved in the athletic program in my time there, it was very clear that class came first.

Big changes for Londontown.  Oxford Street for pedestrians only? Oh, dear. I don’t know about this one…

Your favorite classics, abridged. (I once had to describe a handful of Hemingway’s novels in the same two sentence summary and I started laughing so hard that I had to cut my presentation short. True story.).

We’re clearly soldiers in petticoatsvotes for women!

Science, ya’ll:  Scientists replace 80% of boy’s skin with that grown in a lab, saving his life.  Cool!

Facebook was intentionally built to be addictive. Success.

As we celebrate Veteran’s day, another reminder (this is actually the story in Tomato’s family).

And finally, Biscuit’s birthday was Friday, and she posed the question: What would the title of your autobiography be?  I liked it, and came up with the following three options:

An Organized Collection of Randomness
Life, All Over the Place
End Every Night with Ice Cream

So I ask you:  what would yours be?

That’s all folks. Have a good week!
