Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

Boo, the weekend is over. It was a good one here: food, family, and relaxation.  Three kinds of dessert (pumpkin pie, raspberry pie, ice cream cake). Life is good.

Life is even better because I’m heading out for our annual post-vacation Disney trip this week. So, a bit of silence from the kitchen for now because I’m still eating leftovers on this end, and will be until wheels up on Thursday morning.

(To explain the photo, I have this Ron Weasley doll that my friends got me in college, and he sits on the top shelf of my bookshelf to guard my novels. I come home the other day to find him across the house, on the floor. How did Crawley even GET him? Mysteries.)

The internet? What’s that? It’s been so nice to be disconnected for a bit lately, but I managed to squirrel away a few nuggets.

Also, if ya’ll are shopping tomorrow, stay tuned for my 2017 edition of My Favorite Things!

Keep the holiday commercials coming! But, Heathrow will still win the day.

Speaking of commercials, Serena Williams’ touting the virtues of sports for girls is also a great one.

Costa Rica just ran 300 days using renewable energy sources. You go, girl.

Poor LeVar Burton

From 1936, a guide on how to live alone, successfully. Still v. applicable in 2017, in my household, as I’m always determined to have an elegant time.

Puppy-kitten love. Always adorable.

Gravy salted caramels? I’m buying what she’s selling.

That’s all I’ve got for you today. Time for pie-cake-pie.

Have a great week!
