A Night in Paradise, Vietnam

When planning our trip, H, L and I decided that we’d obviously need to unwind from our frenzied itinerary, so we booked ourselves into luxury, the perfect way to spend our last night in Vietnam before parting ways back to reality and the dreadfully long flights that would take us there.

Little did we know then how much we needed this night, to prepare us for what awaited us at home.

Midway between the noisy city center and the airport, the Am Lam Retreats were tucked away from the traffic and the madness and with one right turn, we found ourselves in a magical little hideaway.

And were promptly greeted with a cocktail.

Our kind of place indeed!

After settling into our room, we decided that it was time to eat and dug in for our last taste of Vietnam.

Shrimp with prawn crackers, and multiple types of spring rolls.

Mango salad.

Pumpkin Soup

Duck salad.

Stuffed to the gills, is there a better time to don swimsuits?

We didn’t think so!

While the water was a bit on the chilly side, it was just the ticket that I needed to fully feel relaxed and refreshed.

Florida girl here, you know.

Tea anyone?

We spent the afternoon relaxing and enjoying our beautiful surroundings, sitting riverside to enjoy the sunset.

And spending the last few hours in each other’s company gabbing nonstop under the twinkling lights.

It was a perfect way to end the trip for these misses in Saigon!
