Sunday Somethings

Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

Whew, it’s been an absolute whirlwind of a week. We had a nice time at Disney last weekend, but I got home and was completely slammed at work, so much so that any sort of mental health and relaxation that I gained at the House of Mouse completely disappeared.  Now that I’m solidly grounded for the rest of the month, I’m trying to really embrace the season that seems so fleeting, and I think that if I blink too many times it’ll be December 26th and all the magic will be gone.

For now, I’m currently watching The Sound of Music (because Captain Von Trapp is still swoon), the Christmas lights are on, my evergreen candle is lit and I’m wearing my Christmas PJs, Crawley on my lap on his favorite Christmas blanket. Life, while very busy at the moment, is still good.

Forget the fact that I have like, all my Christmas shopping to do.

I hope you also can find a bit of calm in the season’s chaos.  Because for as much as the world is ugggggh, it’s still important to protect your peace.

Anyway, on with the readings!

Wow. Now, this is a workout.

Single people? We’ve got it pretty good.

We were talking over Thanksgiving about the wonders of gelatinized food, especially at holiday get-togethers- and so this seems appropriate for the season.

Dinosaurs are still cool.

Traveling home via airplaine with leftovers? Here’s TSA’s take.

Passport-free international travel? I’ll believe it when I see it (also, I like having my passport! Kind of like a badge of honor/trip down memory lane).

Necessary- how to love winter more.

Also necessary- how to harness the power of gratitude.

My cousin asked for cookie suggestions for her upcoming work exchange, and don’t you know I have a list for that? I need to update it, because it does not have these gems from last year.

And if you’re looking for something different? Pralines or Crunchie Rocks would be my best suggestion.

That’s all folks! Have a great week!
