Tennis Tourists- Paris
A recap of our trip to Paris for Roland Garros.
Hello, friends! Thank you for granting me the grace of taking January off from these pages- it was my first true break in over ten years! Crazy! But now I’m back at it and have kicked off this year’s travel with a quick weekend trip to Asheville for a much needed and much anticipated meet-up.
You know I love a hike and so when we booked our trip to Crete, I wasn’t mad that it included a day on the trails.
If you know me IRL, you know that I’ve always been one to poo-poo a little bit on beach vacations. I really, really don’t like hot weather, I don’t love dirt (ie, sand) and there is something about the lay-on-the-beach-drink-in-hand vibe that isn’t really me. …
We’re home! It was a great trip, though with a few more transportation hiccups than I’d have preferred. Still, as Mom liked to remind me time and again, it’s all about the adventure. She’s not wrong.
Summer’s here, and in Michigan, we #optoutside and I’m happy to report that in the week or so since summer’s kick-off, my hiking boots have already gone to good use.
Last vacation post, I promise. But I couldn’t close the #PlayinOnLaPlaya book without telling you about what was perhaps the most charming pit stop, a little village in the southeast corner of the island called Cala d’Or.
Ready for a road trip?
We moved on from our city adventures and head to the northeast or so corner of Mallorca to a little resort town called Capdepera. We picked up our mini-electric toy car (which Ham still misses daily, it seems), found the best radio station blaring good ol’ late 90s-early-2000s American pop hits, and set off for our next destination.
Why Capdepera? I chose it based on nothing else other than some internet recommendations and landing a cheap hotel. (more…)
Let’s talk about Spain! I’m finally home, about 90% over the jet-lag and ready to reminisce about my latest jaunt to The Continent with Ham. In case you missed it, we spent the week on the lovely island of Mallorca. It was wonderful and beautiful…
