Hello, Sunday.

I can’t even believe how fast this week flew by, and how jam packed each day was from morning until night. I admit that it left me slightly cranky, and I couldn’t wait for it to be over, for today, Sunday, the day of rest.

God’s day.

As a consolation to myself, I’ve wiped my calendar clean for the upcoming week and am determined and content to  come home after work and just sit, feet up, and indulge in all the  TV I desire. It’s gonna be a good time.  Sweatpants will of course play a major role. Want to join?

Due to the plethora of activity, my focus on the interesting was mostly lost, but I did manage to scrounge up a few nuggets. Here’s what the internet had to say.

Sad reveal about Robin Williams before he died.  So tragic.

Changing perceptions.  Reflections by a man who has been housing refugees in Germany.  Proof that a bad few eggs ruin it for the rest of us.

You have probably noticed by now that I’m a sucker for a good photo. These aren’t helping my addiction.

We’ve been dipping our tortilla chips all wrong. Let’s all get schooled using rocket science. Literally.

Did you know that Kinder eggs are illegal in the US and considered contraband?  Apparently Kinder egg smuggling is a serious problem.

From Kathmandu to Base Camp: One man’s journey to Everest Base Camp. Having done this trek with two of the guides mentioned, this read transported me back. Even if you’ve never been, a wonderful look at the trekking life.

And finally, awkward moments, we’ve all been there.  I’m cry-laughing.

Have a good week!

Cry-laughing occurred during Meet the Press, which I watch every week. Even though I hate politics.

Hello, Sunday.

Don’t I have the cutest neighbors?  They really are.

I hope you all enjoyed a not-so-scary Halloween and ate lots of candy, but not too much because I know we’re all grown ups and responsible about it. And we all know what happens when we eat too much candy.

If you did overindulge, at least you got an extra hour of sleep.

If not for last minute college football watch plans with Tomato, which happened in a bar, Halloween would have gone pretty much unacknowledged by me this year.  I asked myself how I could manage to wear the most comfortable, warm thing possible, and then decided to go as Jess Day from New Girl, not hard since I actually do dress like Jess, pajama sets, polk dots and all.  Needless to say, comfort ensued.  It was sad, though. I usually get pretty into it but this year…no dressing up at work, no candy or Halloween treats made.

Thanksgiving, I’ll do better.

So many interesting somethings on the internets this week, I could barely contain my excitement over it.  Contain I shall no more:

A scene from the Wizard of Oz?  Nope, real life Chile.  All the pretty flowers.

Let’s stop being stupid and sexist.  I’m pretty sure six, highly trained, amazing astronauts-in-training will do just fine without makeup.  Or men.

Related:  Dress code standards are getting ridiculous. I am so lucky to have had uniforms for so many years.

Would you like some wine with your junk food?  Here’s how to best pair the two.  In case you were wondering, a bag of Oreos requires a bold cabernet.

Our veterans deserve our respect and thanks for all they do. Not this.  Let’s all do better.

Ban the bacon? Not in my kitchen.  Everything in moderation, says I.  I don’t see these new carcinogenic findings to have much of an impact on our meat-loving society. Thoughts?

Bravo, REI, for closing on Black Friday to allow everyone a chance for family time. Those shoes will still be there on Saturday.  Who else will follow?  #OptOutside

When street art is more than just scribbles.  Amazing!

A wake up call. Perhaps we should try and unplug a little more often.  Let’s put our phones away.

Science, ya’ll.  Paternity test reveals man’s unborn brother is the father of his child. WHAT?  True, non-Geraldo-esque story.

History, ya’ll. Pictures from Ellis island.

And finally, 21 reasons why I’ll be binging on The West Wing this winter.

Have a good week!
