Hello, Sunday.
Christmas is less than two weeks away! How are you all doing with that? Me…not so good. I’ve managed to put up only two decorations in my apartment. TWO. Sadness. I just have not had the time or motivation. Let’s blame the sixty degrees happening outside. Send some good thoughts my way and hopefully I’ll have made more progress by the end of the day.
It seems lately that my weekends of this month past are a mad scramble to prep for the following week since my during the weeks are full of the Christmas cheer that my apartment lacks. All well-mannered frivolity, of course. I spent most of yesterday doing weekend things like laundry and cooking, and then, after fretting that I’d made way too much food was relieved to have Donut over for dinner to help save me from myself. The boy can eat.
Since I was incommunicado for the first few days of the week, my somethings are a little sparse. Still, a few good ones for you:
These pictures are utterly breathtaking, and I want to go to all of there.
We all need to remember to respect our elders. They know what’s up. Life lessons and good reminders.

We’re all just people, but why is that so easy to forget? The faces of the undocumented.
How do you feel about astrology? I want to not believe it…but I do a little. But would you let it dictate your life? Your love life? My parents actually changed their wedding date to appease the stars. No joke.
Gift guide: I don’t love extraneous kitchen gadgets, but these are fun. Bear oven mitts (ahem, Biscuit)!
Related: Thanks to JTB, I totally want one of these, even though- totally extraneous! And I don’t even like or make pie!
Rugelach: SUCH a grandma recipe and the most delicious. I now need to bust out my grandma’s recipe for it…
We all need funny animal pictures. Walrus hugs!
And finally, all you need is love. Love is all you need.
Written while watching Mary Poppins on the telly last night for the Wonderful World of Disney.
I love the photos in the first link – what? they’re gorgeous!
Obviously bear oven mitts are a kitchen must have!
Little love stories: cried after the first one.
Oh yes, tears all around. And I figured you would love the mitts more than anyone!
and I’d like that tea infuser in my stocking, Chrissy! I’ll need a clear coffee cup too.
Such great gifts!
