Hello, Sunday.
I’ve made it through my first week of the new job, and it’s safe to say things are going well. It was not at all natural to be back at work after three weeks off, meaning that a life of leisure is definitely something to which I could get accustomed. But, working girl for now I am once again.
I’ve also been cooking again, reading again…being the old version of myself that had been pushed away by the fast pace of Chicago life. I’ve been enjoying Ann Arbor [Little town, it’s a quiet village] so far, though I’m not much a fan of all the driving. For instance, yesterday I actually went to the movies! Mom and I went to see Beauty and the Beast and OMG you have to go if you even somewhat liked the original. I don’t want to say it’s better, since cartoons and live-action are apples and oranges, but likely you’ll leave wanting to 1) re-watch the original (which I did) and 2) go back to the theatre and see it again.
I could really talk about that this whole post, but I realize some lack the Disney gene and I would like to make this interesting for you as well, so the internet is helping me with that:
Maybe one B&tB article: Did you ever wonder why it seemed that some things just didn’t make sense in the 1991 version? Well, the new film fills in a few plot holes.
Why don’t people take alligators seriously???? Please, someone explain.
“… Courthouses should not be used as bait in the necessary enforcement of our country’s immigration laws.” No, they should not be.
Love Luke Bryan. Love Jimmy Fallon. Love Gyros. Love this.
“I meant to respond, but…” Sometimes, some of these are true.
Because the way to change the world is through less education. Come on.
As a follow up to one of last week’s articles. Shaking my head. Shaking my fist.
Got leftover chicken? Here are 7 easy ways to jazz it up.
My good blog friend Mary Beth did me a solid by e-designing my new apartment! Slowly but surely, my apartment will look like this!
Ahh, to be a 90’s kid. Last night when I couldn’t get my B&tB DVD to play, my first instinct was to blow on it. And I did.
Written over some tea and some Chuck Todd.
Blowing on things – it 100% works!
Thanks for including my chicken leftovers. I had buffalo chicken and fajitas last week!
Hands up, I am the one missing a Disney gene (it runs in the family, Laura doesn’t have one either). I thought of you when I saw this, though: https://www.buzzfeed.com/jennaguillaume/when-you-wish-upon-a-meme?utm_term=.kqGP74AOx#.uq4vYa3Pg
I gave up meat for Lent (did I tell you that?) but buffalo chicken is at the top of my list the week after Easter!
