Hello, Sunday.
The sun is shining, it’s a beautiful day. I’ve rested back to my normal self (which did involve locking Crawley out of the bedroom more than one morning when the 3 AM poking started, no doubt some sort of revenge for me leaving him last week. There was crying and meowing, but we both made it out and are back to our regular sleep-filled nights) and even started cooking (good thing since this is, after all, a food blog). Looking back on the past week, I realize it’s a bit of a blur. Cinco de Mayo happened and the Kentucky Derby was yesterday. I don’t even know what I did that was noteworthy, though I did manage to find a solid double partner for the A2 tourney next month. Bring it on. And now, a reason to buy a new, cute tennis dress!
Since we live in a time where there is no good news ever (why? why??????), I am taking upon myself to share with you some lighter things, until we get our frekin act together and stop doing bad things to each other. Can it be soon, please? Until then, this is now:
Can we all be Canadian? (Oh, wait. I am.) But still.
Can we have equal pay for equal work already? I guess not. Bullocks.
“Science. It’s like magic, but real!” Should we all maybe buy this shirt?
Measles are a thing again because OMG PLEASE VACCINATE.
Mom carries baby to help save others. I don’t care if it’s not sad, it’s sad.
The decline of J.Crew. But…they have the cutest coats!

The Fyre Festival. SMH.
Shouldn’t it be a rule that all salads should contain bread? Maybe I’ll make that rule in my house. If you want to make it also a rule in yours, check this for some inspo.
And finally, pets are the best.
Have a good week!
Written over tea and biscuits.
I recognize where that photo was taken 🙂
An old co-worker of mine said she didn’t vaccinate her kids cause “everyone else was”. Um, great, thanks.
I think you should just keep moving north; weather is the same, your dollar will go a lot farther, we have Universities. Flights within the country are more expensive, not really any coupons, fewer yougart choices. But cadbury and good tasting milk.
I like where your head is. I am down with all of those (except the flight thing. Boo.)
You know I’m built like the Pillsbury dough boy and my girlfriend, a professional nutritionalist, gave me sad advice – she said no bread EVER, not even the veggie wraps. Sigh! Bread’s like crack, am I right?
It is, and I haven’t been able to break the habit since I’ve gotten home 🙁
