Monday Musings

Monday Musings

Hello, Monday.

Hello, Christmas Eve!

Did I ever mention that Christmas Eve Day is my favorite day of the year? It’s got all the anticipation of the season at its peak, before Christmas day comes and people start heading home, preparing to inevitably head back to work.  We’re not doing much in these parts and that’s the way I like it.

The reason that I didn’t get my Somethings out to you yesterday was two fold; 1) I didn’t realize it was Saturday until pretty late in the day (because, four day weekends really put me in a time warp) and 2) USA has a Harry Potter marathon happening this weekend, and The Prisoner of Azkaban, became The Goblet of Fire, became The Order of the Phoenix and then it was 1 AM and time for bed.

Also, Mary Poppins, go see it.

Still, some good reads for this Eve Day, so I hope you’ve got some egg nog in your coffee while you can, and can sit back and enjoy these musings:

Since we’re all in Netflix season, have you watched Dumplin’ yet? Well, you should.  Inspiring in more ways than one.

Pure joy.

RIP, Laverne.  A League of Their Own Taught Me to be a Woman.

A look into those ER bills.

So long, General Mattis.  May God help us all.

You guys know I love brittle. Here are some more to try!

Thanks for the fun, Missy Franklin.

Home Alone, reimagined brilliantly for 2018.

Let’s all marvel over this transformation.

Last minute Christmas Eve meal idea?  I remind you of this pie, already tested and approved by Yam.

That’s all I’ve got because the Harry Potter marathon continues. Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good bite!
