Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

Well, it’s been a week. I told you that I spent most of it way-laid (is that how you spell that?) with a cold, and while I’m feeling more spry than I was a few days ago, I still have some days until I’m back at it 100%. Still, the world revolves, and I had to put real pants on yesterday and made it through okay.

Besides the above, not much of note happened in my brain. I’ve been re-watching The West Wing yet again to dream of happier times, and I’m perfectly content with staying in that space for now. Still, here’s what caught my eye besides Jed Bartlett this week:

According to science, cheese protects us from all causes of death. I mean, we knew that in our hearts, but now we know it to be true in our minds as well. Pass the manchego.

Can we all get drunk with Ina?

Admittedly, this was me a little this week because I’m so uber protective of my vacation days that I’ll be damned if I take more than one day off at any time to nurse a cold. Thankfully my boss is awesome and let me work from home for two of the days, but yup.  PTO is best spent in a foreign country, not on my familiar sofa.

So awesome that measles is a thing again, right? Damn it with all the damns. And damn those who made it so.

I’m pretty sure that voting day should be a national holiday. It is, after all, 100% in the public interest to vote.

For those of us who fly: buyer beware. Pass the chlorox wipes.

So this is love? Says Reddit.

When I was on the crew team in college (quite a long time ago), you know what energy bars we ate? Snickers. Protein. Sugar. Fat. Carbs. DONE. And, hey, TASTE.  Now? Lord help you.

With Valentine’s coming up this week, my favorite breakfast is bed recipe is waiting for you!

Also, this one’s for the lovers.

So is this mini chocolate loaf
