Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

We’ve had a gloomy, rainy and chilly surprisingly chilly weekend up here so I’ve spent the weekend making soup, reading books and generally enjoying the feeling of coziness that I just love.  After the week we’ve all been facing and the whirlwind of the news cycle, it’s been quite welcome.

I haven’t got many action items penciled in as far as traditional fall activities; apple picking is a dream without a plan, though I did just have my first sip of cider which means that I might need to make a plan!

Speaking of the aforementioned news, here it is, from the view of my laptop:

Answering life’s important questions: who has the right to control the window shade on a flight?

Bravo, Mattel.

What is mixed race?  Well, if you wondered where this blog name come from it stems from that, and it’s not uncommon for me to get a slanted-eye look as a new acquaintance asks, “what are you?” The guesses keep me amused, and I don’t feel like I’m discriminated in any way for it, luckily. My brother is not so lucky. As the rise in multi-racials color our communities, will it help ease all the angst that infiltrates them?  I do hope.

Age is but a number. Don’t quit your daydream!

Since, even as an adult cat I carry Crawley around like a baby, this surprises me not at all. Whoever thinks cats are antisocial has never been to my house.

Long live the paper book!

Let’s protect the whistleblowers shall we since, as history shows, they are protecting us.  The story of Shuping Wang.

Really need to start playing the lottery.

Ugh. Isn’t Tinder bad enough as it is?

That’s it. Let’s all try and have a better week, eh?
