Might as Well Jump, Spain

Might as Well Jump, Spain

I promise, my last story about Andorra. But I couldn’t move past the most thrilling part.

I went canyoning.

Do you know what canyoning is? I didn’t before this trip, but the definition, according to Wikipedia, goes something like this:

Canyoning is travelling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include other outdoor activities such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling, and swimming.

Well, we did all of that, save for scrambling. That suggests a sense of urgency and while traipsing around these wet rocks, we certainly took our time.

The group had a free day, and about 7 of us took the time to head to Spain to do all of the above while donning wet suits.

I had zero idea what to expect and let me tell you, it was SO fun!

Cold, but fun.

See the smiles?

A few jumps just seemed higher than others, and wearing tennis shoes with little tread made for careful footing on some slippery rocks.

Still, it took me back to abseiling off waterfalls in Costa Rica, which I absolutely loved.

Seems this girl’s sense of adventure is bigger than she gives herself credit for sometimes.

And it seems that when presented with an opportunity to try new things, might as well JUMP.
