Sunday Somethings

Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

This was a slow week. Did anyone else think it was a slow week? Maybe it was because I got both my booster and flu shot at the same time, so mentally prepared myself to be down and out for 48 hours, and cleared my calendar and my mind and then…all I got was a sore arm and and a longer than normal nap one day.

I am not complaining at all – who wants to feel bad? No one, and after feeling crappy after every other shot the past two years it was a little welcome surprise. So, if you’re waffling on getting your jabs because you felt so God awful after the others, take it from me, the biggest baby when feeling ill, that you may just be okay.

Anyway, that’s my PSA for the week. Otherwise, I’ve been diligently watching GBBO, have had the fireplace on more than one day this week and have my favorite candles burning every night creating just the best vibes all around. I hope you’ve got good vibes where you are as well. Sometimes, all it takes is a good candle.

Here’s the business this week. Take it how you will.

I repeat that I am the biggest baby when I get sick and while I did not actually feel bad after my jabs this week, I sure as heck was prepared for it if I did. Flu season is upon us, arm yourself.

Do you think those nostalgic vacation destinations hit differently as adults?

Regardless of where you fall, respect the candy corn (for the record, I am all for it).

Gumshoes! The influence of Carmen Sandiego. We were obsessed.

How  green energy would change the world.

Skinimalism? Call it post-pandemic “I don’t care to wear makeup anymore.”

I sing the praises of my slow-cooker cassoulet every Thanksgiving. It’s one of my favorites, so I’m all about trying new versions. Here’s next on the list.

If you’re packing cider after a trip to the orchard this weekend, reminding you about this apple cider iced tea.

A bit light today, but that’s all I’ve got. Have a nice week! Fall goodies coming to your inbox this week!
