Hello, Sunday.
Well, we’re at Thanksgiving week. How’d we get here again? Sigh. The passage of time.
The week has been hard. Crawley cat got a few teeth yanked on Monday and the come down from anesthesia was difficult for us both – and involved a last minute Target run to buy a baby gate to stop the drugged up little minion from chewing on the Christmas tree (which he doesn’t do in his not-drugged state). The gate did not work, he promptly jumped right over it and all I can say is thankfully it seems all stitches are still in tact. Still, another week of not-too-solid food is not fun for either of us. At least he’s got his favourite holiday blanket in which to recover.
I’m actually heading down to Disney on Thanksgiving with D. Brother is on cat sitting duties and Mom opted out of our annual trip, still recovering from her month-long jaunt around the South Pacific. Turkey time will come at Christmas for my family.
I hope you can find some centering and focus on what you’re truly thankful for in these whirlwind times. I bet you won’t even have to look that hard.
For example, I have egg nog in my coffee this morning. #thankful
As for this week’s reads? Let’s get to it.
Haha. The circus is definitely in town.
The inspiration behind Wicked. I personally really disliked the book, but was so pleasantly surprised when I saw the show. Excited for the movie!
As we approach the season of giving- is cash a bad gift? Not in my eyes- I have expensive habits that need funding!
Why women should control the pursestrings – we do good.
Vamos, Rafa. And a touching note from a class act. #Fedal
