Hello, Monday.
Last week was a bit of a whirlwind. I was in San Diego for work much of the week and every day was non-stop from start to stop- meaning that it truly wasn’t until I was comfortably tucked into my flight home that I could breathe a little.
The week started up a little rough with the tail end of whatever illness I’ve been fighting still lingering, but sunshine, good food and good people were enough to kick the rest of it to the curb.
I really am so lucky to have hit the coworker jackpot twice in my relatively short workspan. I don’t take it for granted.
But now I’m home and focused on being home, with no trips on the horizon until summer travels take me and the fam (and friends!) back to Wimbledon. I’m not ruling out something popping up between now and then, but for now, home is where I shall be.
Now, on to the web:
So much was lost in LA besides the houses. Heartbreaking.
Searching for happiness? Head to Finland. Or any of the Nordic countries. Having been to both Denmark and Norway in the last year, I’m aching to go back. You can FEEL the happiness in the air. It’s a vibe that I want in on. (Recommended reading: The Nordic Theory of Everything)
At the heart of the UPF [ultra-processed food] debate lies a stark truth: fresh, whole foods are not accessible to everyone in the United States. But the question is- why not?
That being said, store-bought isn’t all bad. I’m certainly not making my own ketchup anytime soon.
Ever hear of the 333 packing method? I’m not typically an overpacker, but if you are, this may help. It’s solid advice.
As we start spending more time out in the sunshine, I need to plug Supergroup’s Unseen Sunscreen. It goes on so light and so smooth, and actually doubles as a make-up primer. My new favourite beauty product!
We are halfway into March Madness and one of my brackets is totally gone. I do contend though it’s all luck. I mean, who knew 3rd seed St. John’s would be out already?? My bad. Or, I should say my bad luck.
I get by with a little (or a lot) of help from my friends, and here are some great friend date activities!
Can I interest you in some spring things? Here are some blog faves: lemon poppyseed French toast, roasted fennel citrus salad, white chocolate pomegranate fool
That’s it! Have a great week!
