Hello, October!

I mean, here we are in October. How even? Like, what happened to the rest of the months? It’s all just flying by, isn’t? I mean, I can’t believe I’ve been here writing these words for over 12 years already. Happy Anniversary to us!

I just got back from Alaska this week after a work/play break, and I can’t wait to tell you about it- and recreate some of the fantastic dishes we ate while we were there. But first, a breather, because I’m a bit sleep deprived and a lot overbooked and well, I need a minute.

Let’s look at what October has in store for me. What about you?

wishing: there was more time. there’s never any time! (cue “I’m so excited! I’m so excited! I’m so….scared!”)

hoping: fall comes to these parts soon. what is this 80 degrees?

thinking: of the long long long to do list for the next week.

praying: someone close to me catches a break soon.

planning: last minute paris and london deets.

dreaming: of cozy fall nights by the fire.

reading: cold, cold bones

watching: ugly betty.

making: my first loaf of pumpkin bread this weekend.

going: to paris and london in a week and a day. and apple picking today.

looking: forward to my live Peloton London studios class! amongst other things.

feeling: overwhelmed.

Since I came home from Italy, I’ve added pasta to the weekly rotation. Who am I? While I sit in my existential crisis, let’s talk about this easy garlic shrimp pasta.
