Sunday Somethings

Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday. How’re things? I am T-5 days until I leave for Jordan (finally!).  Believe it or not, packing is 90% done (see picture of my and Crawley’s packing break)! Don’t be too impressed because my house is 0% cleaned but I’ve got some time…

Monday Musings

Monday Musings

Hello, Monday.

How’s it going?

After getting home from Florida late Tuesday evening, I found myself playing catch-up all week and losing an hour Sunday morning didn’t really help that (here are some tips how to ease into it). However, I’m feeling a bit more put together and actually rested, and ready to start the week. Wishing the same for you as we take on what I hope is the last few weeks of winter weather (at least up in these Northern parts).

Also, if you want to see how I do Disney without kids…check it here.

I did manage to tuck away some nuggets. Here we go:

A few weeks late from Single Awareness Day…the realities of being single in 2023. It’s not a bad thing at all.

I recently gave this advice to a friend in California who had no idea what to think when it snowed a few weeks ago.  Winter – just gotta embrace it.

What exactly is ‘American’ food? I faced the challenge of describing this when I was cooking the US back 8 years ago. The melting pot’s food is also a melting pot.

Inspiring women aren’t ever hard to find – here are some that will inspire us to get out and go!

I truly believe food is medicine. Traditional Chinese Medicine knows what’s up.

How a four-day workweek benefits the planet. I’m in!

St. Patrick’s Day is Friday and like Thanksgiving, I think leftovers are the best. Here’s to my favorite hash. #momrecipe.

Oh, and these brownies are a great way to get your Irish on.

Have a great week!

Steamed Mussels in Cider

Steamed mussels in cider are a nod to the Emerald Isle,- fresh mussels cooked in hard cider with the hint of bacon and garnished with parsley.

Monday Musings

Monday Musings

Hello, Monday!

I meant to have this done for yesterday but I straight up forgot. Whoopsy. Vacation brain.

Mom and I are doing our Disney thing and Saturday night I was enjoying the frivolity instead of sitting in front of my computer.  As it should be.

Here we are in March (!). The sun is rising earlier (meh) and setting later (yay!) and can you believe we change the clocks forward next week? Time is flying by.

But, new month, new things. Here we go:

wishing: good fortune for all my friends and fam.

hoping: we get home without wayward snowstorms.

thinking: of all the ‘annual to do list’ things i need to do with the house.

praying: that my request for a 4 day workweek comes through!

planning: italy/france for may

dreaming: big dreams

wearing: bathing suits and flip flips.  also, at home, this cozy sweatshirt.

watching: elementary, my dear watson.

reading: mr. darcy broke my heart, from the bookshelf.

gazing: for stars, always. and wishing.

What’s happening with you?

Have a great week!
