Monday Musings

Monday Musings

Hello, Monday.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! I took most of the weekend to spend away from social and all the things that distract us so much in everyday life to focus on the more important things – friends, family and food.

So much food.

Also caught up with Only Murders in the Building, Starstruck and GBBO.  So, a productive weekend.

Anyway, a few things to make this post-holiday Monday easier to digest.

Gen Z Bible Stories. I mean, they’re not inaccurate but…but. I dunno.

The more the merrier? Seems like it’s the best way to be.

This has got my grandma’s vibes all over it.

I do my stupid walk for my stupid mental health every day, and yesterday I went in 30 degree weather, so I guess I’m Chilly Girl Walking? Anyway, I support it.

Adding to travel bucket list…

Speaking of travel, when I was in Alaska it became pretty evident that they want to really expand to make itself a winter destination. Here’s maybe why it should be!

If you’re looking to refine your finances in 2024, I’m really excited personally about Money with Katie’s wealth planner. Here’s an overview of what it entails, and if you’re interested, here’s my referral link for 10% off!

Here are some epic Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches for your consideration.

Also, if you’re holiday shopping without Rakuten, why?? Here’s my referral link and we’ll each get a bonus when you use it.

Have a great week!

Sunday Somethings

Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

How are you all? I’m actually pretty good. I had Friday off and so the long weekend actually felt like a long weekend, and didn’t fly by like they tend to do. I hung out with friends, got some much-needed stuff done around the house and actually had time to sit down and read.  So…really an ideal sort of weekend over here. I hope yours was much the same.

I’m looking forward to hopefully a day soon where I have a 4/10 work schedule and can Groundhog Day this feeling a little. It is a true joy to not have to cram all the adult crap we all have to do into two days or on a weekday after work.

And it took everything in me to not put up Christmas decorations yet, but I’m waiting on more weekend to do so. Until then, I’m enjoying the last look of the fall aesthetic of my living room before it explodes in reds and greens.

The world is still heavy and sad. Here’s a little light.

Life goal. To become a relaxed woman. I admittedly am on my way there.

How has this not happened yet? Anyway, this one certainly got better with age.

Alternatives when it’s too cold to walk outside. We’re almost there…

The new health drink? Honestly, when I was in Peru I couldn’t get on board…but maybe I can be convinced.

A small win for the future of US food quality.

Strikes are over!

V. excited about this movie. I miss the days of quality rom-coms- and an ode to Meg Ryan.

Speaking of, this cute movie harkens back to it.

Not sure how I feel about this– are we messing with a good thing?

Do you watch GBBO? Thoughts on this? I hadn’t thought about it until I read it but…this is not wrong. But I love Prue!

I’m so into this apple cider donut loaf cake. The fall flew by so fast I only had ONE ACD. Criminal.

I’m also into this pumpkin loaf. Still and always.

That’s all folks. Have a good week and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
