Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

I’ve been galavanting in Chicago this weekend with almost every hour accounted for and too much food and drink eaten for my liking. A lifestyle to which I had become accustomed now seems overindulgent and my body is not liking me much for it.  Lots and LOTS of veg this week.

Yes, I was up early to watch The wedding (you know me, as if there was any doubt that I could stop myself!) and I was here to celebrate another soon-to-be. Kettle Corn, friend and partner-in-bossgirl-crime is getting married in four weeks and being a bachelorette was the order of the weekend. Some less than ideal weather can’t stop, won’t stop us!

I hope your weekend treated you well and that you’re feeling rested and rejuvenated for the week ahead. If not, you have three days to catch up on it next weekend!

I found a few things to read this week. Here we go:

A wedding needs a cake, and here’s why Meghan and Harry’s was sort of a big deal (though, if you like a traditional fruitcake, I can’t recommend this one enough!).

Related: In case you want to recreate theirs, Cozy did it for you.

Amusing. How to speak American.

When bitching is bonding (an oldie, but fun!).  This is, in fact, how Kettle Corn and I met and became instant friends.

The immortal life (and now portrait) of Henrietta Lacks.

Just say no to bad travel companions! No, everyone cannot go

The truth about attractiveness.

When the internet is no longer fun.

Food as medicine? It’s so damn obvious.

The case of the missing salt.

That’s all I’ve got. Have a good week!
