Hello, Sunday.
We are basking in the fall weather of dreams here in Michigan. It’s been sunny and crisp and cool, with swaths of orange and gold lining the roads, highways and sidewalks making everything outdoors seem nothing less than magical. I’m in love.
The weekend was spent mostly outside, perusing markets and squeezing in some tennis before the season officially ends. Cleaning with the windows opening to bring in some of the gloriousness inside, brisk as it might be.
What’s the word this week? Here we go!
Living the low overhead life. I thought I’d save much more when I moved from Chicago but…turns out I picked the wrong midwest city. Still, not paying San Francisco housing prices.
Recipes to teach your kids math, science and history. A tasty way to learn!
Acedia, the emotion we’re all feeling.
Lesson to all: don’t steal ancient artifacts. Seems…like an obvious rule of life.
Sweet home, Chicago.
This is heart-crushing, but an important read.
I think having those actors, producers, singers, dancers, etc put on virtual performance is a great idea! It keeps people employed, and also exposes those who might otherwise not be able to afford to go to a live performance, attend. It worked for Hamilton, right? Here’s a good one for this afternoon!
Need some comfy eats? Here you go.
Holiday shopping? Yeah, we’re thinking about it and while we’re at it, here’s a useful guide for USPS holiday shipping deadlines.
What am I making this week? Probably this. Soup’s on!
Also, if anyone watched the GBBO and is in the mood for a babka, make this one!
That’s it! Have a good week!
