Hello, Sunday.
I sat down late last night to write this (Saturday nights, as I tend to do) and almost thought of postponing, but found myself in a particularly chatty mood (having fallen victim to the trashy summer read- and in good spirits having just finished my latest in two days) and with no one to talk to but you all, we’re sticking with our traditional Somethings rather than belated Monday Musings.
The weekend so far has been ideal, with the most perfect weather, a trip to the theatre, the aforementioned good vibes from the aforementioned read, grass-court tennis, Cuban food, chocolate cake and family time. Summer, you’re treating me well.
I hope it’s treating you equally well. And if your lucky enough to have one extra day this weekend to enjoy it, then cheers to that!
With company visiting from out of town, I was luckily shielded from the creep of sad stories and sad realities that typically occupy one’s week but I did manage to stowaway a few goodies. Here we go:
Monday is Juneteeth, now a national holiday and we received this missive at work about why it’s important for all of us to mark, and if you’re in the Bay Area, ways that you can commemorate it in the community. And get some reading in.
A reminder to always be kind and never let anyone feel left out.

Every day I go on a stupid walk for my stupid mental health, but through them, I’ve found a few favorite podcasts. GeoBreeze (for points and miles), Diversifying (for money and investing) and All the Hacks (for life hacks). In case you needed some suggestions.
I don’t know WHAT it is about these particular cat toys, but they are Crawley’s favorites. Can’t get enough. If you want to spoil your furkid.
