Hello, Sunday.
Summer is sizzling all over the country and I’m not ashamed to admit that I’ve been staying indoors for most of it, save for morning tennis followed by morning walks. I hate the hot weather- you know this- and the humidity lately has made it make me feel like I’m reliving certain periods of my life down south and…not thanks.
Yesterday my little family of three took the opportunity to celebrate my brother’s 40th birthday. It’s not often that we hang out together, save for our annual Disney trips. so a mosey to downtown Detroit for lunch and to see My Fair Lady, one of our all time favorite family movies ever, had us debating which was our favorite song and our favorite scenes over our favorite Cuban cuisine. It was a conversation that had a lot of, “oh wait! But what about…?!” It was very welcome, with good vibes to start and end the day.
I’m taking the rest of the weekend to recharge- and I hope you have the chance to do much of the day.

I saw this after J.Lo announced that she was officially Jennifer Affleck. Should a woman change her name after 40? I have one friend that did- and as for myself should I ever walk down the aisle? TBD. I would actually say that it depends on what my new last name would be. Maybe. I dunno.
Velveeta martini anyone? Yikes, hard pass for me.
Put your face in airplane mode– and interesting thought of masking some of the time on planes. On all my flights lately – even the long haul international ones – I’ve kept my mask on but maybe this is food for thought for any flight in the future?
Chefs are doing McDonald’s, gussied up. I’m sort of into it.
We reaally lucked out on our last trip as far as flight issues (train issues, another story), but for future reference, here’s the data that tells us the best time to fly to avoid cancellations. So, not Fridays after work then.
