Hello, Monday. Hello almost- August!

I’m a day early, but I feel like this last day of July is almost moot and that August starting on a Tuesday is almost like the last month of summer is dragging its feet.

Not that I’m really ready for summer to be done, but I am excited about August because it’s my birthday month. In true Leo fashion, we’re celebrating all month long in this house and on these virtual pages where I’m, as always, cooking up some of my faves.

Before then, let’s set our monthly intentions. Here we go!

wishing: good things for my good people.

hoping: that we have more summer days in these mild-mannered 80s rather than 90s.

thinking: how we are only a month away until college football starts- and my town balloons in size. not ready! no bueno.

praying: the road construction finishes before aforementioned crowds descend (it’s a legit prayer- every single street in town is torn up right now)

planning: travel for the back half of 2023- it’s going to be a busy run to the finish.

dreaming: of more weekends on the lake.

wearing: dresses. boden has my heart on this one.

watching: SUITS. love. also, barbie. worth the watch.

reading: what’s a book? seriously, major month fail.

listening: 2000s radio station. for real.

cooking: shrimp on the barbie.
