Spring

Spring

The thought of spring is so nice right? Birds finally starting to chirp. Flowers finally starting to blooms. Sweaters finally starting to become an afterthought rather than a necessity.  But, BUT, my beef with spring it’s that it’s always sort of wishy-washy or undecided about…

Sunday Somethings

Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday. Happy Easter!

I know I’ve been MIA but I hope to be back at it. Last weekend I moved into my new house, but having been running between work and Mom’s house all week, I haven’t had much of a chance to make it a home.  This week, Crawley and I hope to tuck in and do just that.  And maybe cook a few things. And maybe even write about it! Seems a novel concept in these parts of late.

What are you doing for Easter today?  Little Bro couldn’t come home, so Mom and I are making the best of it with a nice big bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. No ham here; the heart wants what it wants.  We’re eating and watching a lot of Fixer Upper.

Here’s what caught my eye this week. I hope you spend today with your feet up, your belly full of food and laughs.

MLK, assassinated. 50 years later.

Getting married is not an accomplishment.  This popped into my feed and I think it’s worth another share.  My married and non-married friends alike agree that getting a ring on it should do nothing to eclipse getting an education, a promotion, or generally just living an awesome life. It doesn’t take skill to get married, just perhaps a little luck and some hard work.  But, in some ways, we’re still living in the Downton days.

Field of dreams? Rink of dreams. Love my Hawks.  Thirty-Six Year Old Accountant Called in as Emergency Goalie.

A lion, a tiger and a bear walk into a bar

It’s not that other countries ban guns- it’s that they’re not stupid about who gets done. Here’s a look at 15 countries smarter than we are.

I don’t wanna wait for our lives to be over.

Rubber Ducky, you’re apparently the worst one.

After 30 years in America, she was about to be deported. Then, a tiny Colorado church offered her sanctuary. Feel good.

There’s no crying in baseball? I’m crying tears of joy about this!

Because sometimes we all just need a good belly laugh.

THIS is how you carrot cake.

Are you making a ham today? Then you should make this soup tomorrow. It’s my fave.

Have a great week!

Sunday Somethings

Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday. Is it Sunday? The days are long and blending together. In the same vein as my last Sunday ramblings a few weeks ago, I’m tired and life is still going at a crazy pace and I am admittedly barely keeping up or keeping…
