Homemade sweet chutney is a mild mix of dried and fresh fruit, spices and tangy vinegar for a most delicious condiment.

- 1 ½ cups malt vinegar
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 onion, medium, finely chopped approx 1 cup
- 1 Granny Smith apple peeled, cored and finely chopped
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 2 whole cloves
- 1/2" ginger, grated
- ½ cup dried cranberries
- ⅓ cup light brown sugar
Place all the ingredients into a large saucepan. Bring the contents to a simmer, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
Leave the chutney to cook about 40 minutes until all the liquid has dissolved and all the ingredients are very soft and thick.
