Hello, Sunday.
Yes, Sunday! It seems like it’s been weeks since I’ve gotten my act together enough to put this together for a lazy Sunday morning read, but yesterday was one version of a perfect weekend day, and here we are. So pull up your coffee and flip on your Sunday morning news and let’s chat!
I’ve been quite busy in the kitchen the last week or so, with some experiments and some tried and true favorites. There is so much that I want to make and just not enough time or mouths to make it. Such a stark contrast from summer days.
I’m heading back to San Diego for work for a quick stint later this week (gimme all the tacos!), but otherwise, get ready to eat!
And read. What happened this week? It’s a blur, but here is what I go out of it:
You must not fear, hold back, count or be a miser with your thoughts and feelings. For it is here that creativity is born. Embrace it.
A fun, well-written read about nothing relevant to the news, which, don’t you just love that these days? The Art of the Day Job.
The Power of Positive People. It is powerful, indeed.
If you’re a regular reader of le blog, you’ve probably guessed that I don’t love pasta. In six years, I think I have…maybe 3 dishes? Anyway, can I tell you that I LOVE macaroni & cheese? If I ever eat it, it’s usually just on my birthday and not always even then. Still, I love it. And here are 12 cheeses that are best to use when you make it. Life skills.
I gave up AC to live within my means. Dear God, AC is the last thing I’d ever give up, aside from my cat. Power to this dude.
Family calls cops on whales in the ocean. Okay, it’s exactly what it sounds like, but it’s…just watch it. Ha.
Need some not-so-scary Halloween movie choices? You’re welcome.
Watch out, Ina. Meet the new star of Netflix’s Salt. Fat. Acid. Heat. On my watch list after I finish plowing through The Great British Baking Show.
Leaving you with The Art of the Fact Check.
