Monday Musings

Hello, Monday.

Happy New Year, friends!  I guess the holiday season is over, which means that we’re heading back into our first full week of real work in, well, ages it seems.  The decorations are down, the cookies are almost gone and resolutions of some sort are filling our minds.

Seven years into this jam, you may recall that I don’t do resolutions, but rather I choose a word that I hope guides my actions and mindset as I plod along through the year. This year my word is SOAR.  Like usual, I’m not sure what that means just yet, but I do know that rather unlike last year’s word (REIMAGINE), which took me some pondering to settle on, soar came to me almost immediately, without thought or hesitation and I realized that I had surely hit on the right word.  Soaring into a new year and a new decade- I’m excited what it will bring.

The world is what it is, and the turning of the clock on Tuesday evening seemed to not affect the state of things for the better unfortunately.  So we have to find the best in what we can.  Here we go:

Behind the scenes of my favorite cookies being made.  Digestives!

A beautiful short film – in one minute.

As many of us are about Marie Kondo-ing at the moment, how about the art of making do?

31 easy changes to make in your daily life. I could certainly start with #1.

Who recycles dirty diapers? Ew. Anyway, a good reminder of what should and should not go in the green bin.

City of good neighbors? That’s right! #LetsGoBuffalo

Getting worse before it gets better down under

I’m so into this banana sticky toffee pudding thing.

That’s all I’ve got today.  Wishing you the best for 2020!
