Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

Hey, it’s me! It’s been a while, but I needed you to see this donut. And my post-vax excitement!

I had a nice little three day weekend with Friday off. And it was great! I spent Friday with my family, Saturday getting my first shot followed by a foray to the Polish bakery for donuts and rye and today is left for the unhappy adult tasks of laundry and the like. Still it’s amazing what one extra day and a good nap can do. And the 180 one week can flip to the next. And the glimpse of hope one little shot can provide.

I hope you had an equally lovely weekend and that spring weather got you as out and about as you can in these still-socially distanced times.  I picked up a flat of strawberries and I’m still figuring out what to do with them.  As for the news…here’s what piqued my interest.

How to make it through your Covid anniversary.

Oh, Ramona.  RIP Beverly Clearly.

New Zealand, putting the rest of the world to shame. Again.

Married for the first time at 64. An interesting perspective for me and my forty or almost singles.

Vaccine diplomacy, where we are these days.

The benefit of writing letters. I used to be so good at this, regularly, and this year I didn’t even sent out Christmas cards.

This story from one of my favorite cycling instructors about his experience with AAPI hate is heartbreaking.

Covid testing in the age of vaccines. Yup, still necessary.

Have sad lunches gotten sadder working from home? Not mine! I feel like mine have gotten better!

My family’s favorite Easter treat.

And if you’re going for savory…

One more thing- if you joined me for my crepe making, kid-geared cooking class last fall, join me in April while we make a Mother’s Day spread – perfect for littles that want to surprise Mom (or Grandma!) with something special.  More info and sign up HERE.

Have a great week!
