Buongiorno! It’s time to tell you about my Italian adventures. Well, show you, more like. Get ready for a bit of a photo dump of the Amalfi Coast.
After a little bit of flight scheduling hiccups from yours truly, the family and I arrived in Naples to start our adventure.
Which was fully decked out in celebration from winning its first soccer title in over thirty years.
Actually, our real adventure started in Procida, a little island about a 45 minute ferry ride from Naples. There, we met our skipper, our boat and the rest of our traveling companions and prepared to set sail for our week on the water.
Did I mention we were on a sailing trip? Not a cruise – a sailing trip.
Since the waters on day 1 were a little rocky, we spent the first day stretching our sea legs at port. However, once we set sail the next day, it was clear skies, blue water and high sun for the rest of the trip.
We mostly hugged the coast, spending our mornings on the boat, ogling the world-famous and oh-most spectacular coastlines…
and our afternoon on the land.
Exploring Sorrento, Amalfi and Pompeii.
All of which were in full bloom for summer.
With a few stops on the islands. Taking in all the the views, from high, low…
the view from Anacapri
and those hidden for few to see.
We made sure to sample all the local delicacies
and soak in every bit of sunshine.
And as our sailing days came to a close
and we found ourselves back on land
we recharged as only a true Neapolitan would…
and looked forward to our next adventure.
On to Paris!
Love seeing the photos! My sister did that coast on a river boat! But a sailboat would be super cool!
Ooh a river boat sounds super cool!
