Monday Musings

Monday Musings

Hello, Monday.

What was planned to be a busy weekend ended up clearing out to be a whole lotta nothing, which turns out was just what I needed. Saturday I stared out the window willing myself to go to a walk, but opted for the couch and cuddles instead.  I guess it was a little bit of a Christmas miracle in these busy days that I got a little reprieve.

The gifts are wrapped, my favorite holiday treat packaged up and the holiday tunes are on repeat.

We’ve got one week to go until the season’s magic disappears so I’m trying to savor it while it lasts. I hope you can do the same.

A few things to get us through the last week before a few days off:

This is one lucky kid.

I watched this and found it quite enjoyable and entertaining.

Long live the Sisterhood.

Can we give up our collective addiction to cheap stuff?

Man, school is so much better today than when I was going.

In these dark, cold and isolation seasons ahead, here’s how to beat the loneliness.

Comedy really is hard.

Let’s all give ourselves a break in 2024, shall we?

This statement may be advice contrary to the above statement, but let’s commit to making hot chocolate from scratch. It’s so easy and 1000% times better than any powder you’ll buy! It’s truly an everyday indulgence.

And if you want to take a page out of my book this week and diversify from traditional holiday foods, make yourself a taco salad.

Have a great week!
