Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

Gah. It’s Sunday already. I’m so not ready for it, or for the week ahead. I’m sure it’s made a bit longer by the fact that I’m in major vacation countdown mode. Not only for Disney (11 days), but also for Jordan (32 days). March is going to go by in a blink.

I admit that I’ve been a bit lagging in the kitchen.  SOD manifesting in me the way that hurts the most! Carry on I must lest I eat nothing but sweet potatoes, oatmeal and toast.  Hey, it’s happened before.

Other than that, I’m 2-2 on my goal to get out and hike at least once a month in 2020. Last night a friend and I did a sunset lantern hike. It was a bit chilly, and as hard as it was for me to drag myself off the couch, I’m very glad I went.

Anyway, news, news.  Here we go:

As we passed Valentine’s Day, I’m leaving this here in case you need it.  I’m long past the age where I’ve hated the single life- I think I lost that feeling of inadequacy in between hiking to Everest and trailing the Incas. Single and sad I am not.

This was fun: Valentine’s gifts from famous fictional men. Yes, Mr. Darcy, you still have my heart.

Nature is stunning.

People don’t start out awful– why do we end up that way?

I can’t even wrap my head around the utter ridiculousness of this claim.  Yes, I’ve heard that tampon hoarding is a HUGE problem everywhere.  Christ.

Weird but true. I’m sure some people pray to Elrond knowingly.

The most powerful passports in the world.

Make these anytime, anywhere.

It’s not too late to organize a small Mardi Gras potluck! Here’s a help for you if you choose to let the good times roll.

You don’t need a crowd to make these pralines.

That’s all I’ve got. Have a great week!
