Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

Well, it was a hotter than you know what weekend here and I again decided to spend much of yesterday on the tennis court. Not wise. I’m beat today.

It seemed like a slow news week. Was it? I feel like maybe compared to weeks past? My days are so in a blur with my still new to me job that it almost seems like I’m going weekend to weekend. Not a bad way to be, I guess, when we can spend the days outside in the fresh air and sunshine.

Anyway, let’s see what I found in the blur.

Now this image will make you smile.

How to talk to your kids about race.

Road tripping this summer? 60 Charming American towns to consider.

A world of pure imagination.

COVID-19 and ordinary courage.

The little known story of The White Man in the Photo.

If you’re like I am and always wanted to try the famous Basque cheesecake but haven’t, here’s a small batch that may convince the both of us to do it sooner rather than later.

Wishing myself to this delicious mini-pub!

How to be great? Just be consistently good.

Why it wasn’t really that bad of a week.

And finally, your favorite summer cocktail.

Have a good week, yah?

P.S. My awesome friend Dawn, who you know simply because she stars in all of my best stories, has an Etsy shop where she’s got some super cute masks for sale. Disney, Star Wars, Harry Potter- all the good stuff. And 25% of her proceeds are going to the Equal Justice Initiative and the NAACP LDF.  Check her out and support some great causes!
