Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

How are you all? I’m pretty good! I think the air of spring has lifted my spirits: I get vaccine #2 in a week, will be off on a nice vacation in two. Tennis is creeping its way back into my weekly routine.  In two words: hope and normalcy.

I hope that you’ve got a little bit of that creeping into your life as well. That, and some cake, perhaps. With your feet up. As you can see, my fur-friend and I had ours up for a good part of yesterday and it was glorious.

Let’s get on with it- readings for your amusement.

Speaking of cake, I keep eying this one and haven’t made it yet. I need an excuse. Someone want to come over?

Reminder: if you don’t ask, the answer is no.

Warning: low rise jeans are indeed back.  Ironically, I actually feel fit enough to wear them now, compared to the first time around. Still- NO.

The virtues of a good to-do list.

My still-single girlfriends talk about this more than perhaps we should, but when The Golden Girls are the standard- what’s so bad about that?

We’ve heard a lot about mRNA technology- here’s how it’s going to change the world.

The feel good story we all need.

Should we put chips back in chocolate chip cookies? My go-to recipe is handcut chunks and I’m sticking to it.

Sad about Prince Philip. The NYT, as always, writes a lovely obit.

Also, reminder about this awesome mango chicken salad. I always forget about it, and really need to be making it on the reg.

That’s it. Have a great week!
