Hello, Monday.
We’re long weekending here in the US and Canada and gosh, it’s needed. Especially here, where I’m heading east for my summer New England road trip next weekend for two weekends, so this one was filled with errands, pedicures, returns, cleaning – all the things one does when they are about to head out of town for ten days.
I’m glad to be getting away, but I’m lying if I didn’t admit that I’m craving getting away-away. The kind of away that needs a passport. Soon, soon, I hope.
My week is also jammed with to-dos so any break that doesn’t have any is welcome. I hope you are getting away, too. If not away-away.
I don’t even know what happened this week. Let the internet remind us.
How about a feel good story to kick things off?
The value of time off. We should all be doing it.
Can we have the same joy we felt as a kid on summer vacation as an adult in the summer?
Looking for egg substitutes? Here’s a pretty comprehensive list.
I’m getting back on the Birkenstock train. I’m almost 40 and I make no apologies.
I am in the minority of people in that I did not like Eat, Pray, Love. At all. However, City of Girls has quickly caught my attention. I’ll let you know how I liked it once I’m finished.
Corn is in full swing, and so should this elote dip be in your summer menu. And this elote shrimp salad.
I’m not sure if you saw this week’s post about homemade raspberry-chile-ginger jam, but it’s worth this reminder.
Have a great week!
