Sunday Somethings

Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday. Another week in the books. How many is that? I’ve lost count, but my routine is pretty set, and bleeds from weekday to weekend pretty seamlessly. I’m certainly ready for a vacation….hell, a trip to the grocery store this week to jazz things…

Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday.

The sun is shining and it’s a beautiful weekend here in Michigan. It really does something great to the mood when the weather outside is all kinds of perfect, doesn’t it?

I hope that people can keep their heads on straight and not undo all the good, hard, sitting at home work that we’ve all done to flatten the curve. Sitting at home by oneself is so much harder when the lake, the deck, the pools and barbecues call. In short, summer.  I know I’ve already got a few bathing suits bookmarked for purchase!

Just a friendly reminder that Mother’s Day is next weekend. Near or far, take a few to celebrate Mom. Mine is getting a cake, to be enjoyed together from a safe distance on the porch.  You will see said cake later this week!

I hope you are all as well as can be.  Here’s what caught my eye this week:

About that Mother’s Day cake, here’s one from a few years ago that was a HUGE hit.

Why 1999 was the greatest year in music history. My 18 year old self would most certainly agree. #HitmeBabyOneMoreTime

Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday. That’s the day, right? It’s a bit weird being home all the time, because instead of waiting to cram all my chores and errands into the two weekend days, I manage to do a little at a time every day of the week.…

Hello, Sunday. How are you?  I’m okay.  Last Monday we had to put down our lovely, wonderful, scrappy 21 dear Sneakers.  He’s pictured above with my dad- he was HIS cat, after all, and I like to think that they’ve finally reunited. Two weirdos of…

Tahini Apple Crumble

Tahini Apple Crumble

I don’t know about you but when it comes to the point halfway between my once-every two-weeks grocery shopping trip, I start to get a little desperate, digging into the back of the pantry for ingredients, using up those still-good shelf stable fruits and veggies and grabbing stuff from the freezer that is questionable in origin. Luckily that’s not all bad, and it’s the aforementioned activities that resulted in this tahini apple crumble.

Sunday Somethings

Hello, Sunday. Happy Easter, if that’s your thing! I wish I had more interesting things to say here, but I’m in the same boat that you are. I’m getting outside as much as weather allows (at a safe distance, of course).  I’m trying to figure…
