Hello, Sunday. Sorry for being MIA this week but the heat wave and my broken air conditioner meant that I was staying at Mom’s and the lengthened commute means longer days and someone to cook for me. Hey, who am I to refuse Mom-food? Right.…
Hello, Monday.
So, in the worst timing ever, my air conditioner broke last week amongst the 80 degree and rising weather. Therefore, the C man and I have been camping out at Mom’s until it can get fixed. The thing is, when I’m at Mom’s, I feel the complete lack of ambition to do anything. Therefore, despite spending all day on the couch on Saturday, I did not write my Somethings. Whoops.
But, BUT, I did start planning our fall trip through Scotland and Ireland, or as I think I’m going to call it, #TheScottishRoadtoTipperary. Suggestions, welcome in the comments!
Also, today’s photo is our family cat, Sneakers, being a creeper. Per usual.
God, these weeks just blend together, bad news with bad news. I’ll try to give you some respite on these pages.

Hello, Sunday.
Whew, it’s been a week. After spending last weekend in Iowa, I promptly hit the skies for NYC for work and it was a whirlwind of a time. Work stuff went off without a hitch, and Yam came up from DC to join me for the ride as we snuck in a few good meals in between all the hubbub. Restaurant recreation coming at ya later this week- and it’s a good one!
Otherwise, I spent yesterday morning in a bit of a panic as Crawley was slow to recover from the trauma of the vet and his rabies shot, and I spent a good part of the day praying that he would eat so that we would not have to make a repeat trip to the vet. Happy to say that he’s back to his jolly self, though still a little groggy, but more willing to cuddle than hide away in the corner of my closet. Poor little squidge.

The psychology behind social media lurkers. I’m mildly guilty as charged.
How do you know you’ve meet ‘the one’? Hear it from those in the know (but it also, of course, begs the question of whether there is actually a ‘the one’).

Hello, Sunday. Hello from Iowa! Yup, I’m in the corn. For me, Iowa often brings forth thoughts of Field of Dreams and The Music Man, and a sense of nostalgia for years gone by. I’ll tell ya that it’s exactly what I expected and it’s…
