Hello, Sunday.

Hello from Washington!

I’m here for on a work trip, ready to face the scorching east coast temps outside in parallel with the no-doubt freezing conference temps inside.  The joys of summer.

Speaking of summer, I spent most of yesterday doing summer things – hiking, swimming, eating and making ice cream. It’s the only way to do 90 degrees, IMO.

I hope you were also able to do something to take the heat off- the literal and figurative heat of life right now.  Here are a few somethings that hopefully will also help you chill out.

Sometimes scientist humor is the best humor.  Amazing celestial object? Nah, just a chorizo.

I love this! I wonder what memories I’ve left in library books.
